Their music was not only popular among the blacks but also penetrated the whites in America for several dacades. Nevertheless, there is at least one fact spreading which is absolutely true. It is Michael Jackson who hit the MTV channel which is partial to white singers. This shows only the superficial understanding though. We need to go through the nature of MTV channel at that time in depth. MTV channel established in 1981 as a rock music channel which put emphasis on various types of rock and roll. Due to the choice of music, it is understandable that the channel seldom broadcasted songs of Black people, since rock and roll was a type music led by white people in the history of European and American music culture. A few years ago, I talked about the relation between heavy metal music and Caucasoid rasism in another article. I was criticized for not knowing the spirit of heavy metal music by the fans of heavy metal music as a result.
